Very nice
Is she a Black Copper or Pure Black?
Yes you can get pure black, but here in the U.K. They are very rare.
At first terrible, but I realized that I had to set my trays in the bottom of my cabinet instead of at the top, it helped tremendously. Now I have 2 chickens and a turkey raising this year's batch of birchen Marans, 14 total currently. 10 are being raised by one standard English black orpington. The turkey hen has 3 chicks that she adores. Last hen managed to keep one, lost three to a maurading neighbor cat. They are over the hardest part now, going on three weeks old. We will see how they feather out.
Actually they look more prominent from aboveView attachment 1099226 View attachment 1099225 View attachment 1099224 Dave C, I am needing some advice and hoping you may be able to help me, my cockerel is now crowing and growing and a gentleman, but his wings feathering is still finishing, he has wings that stick out a bit or look split, is this just whilst he is young and finishing his final adolescent moult?
