Yeah I have some black copper marans myself, their personality is so unlike my other breeds. They all have an obsession of pecking at everything! Love the color of them though especially the roo, started crowing at 14 weeks. 16 weeks old now and no eggs.

Well unfortunately my rooster isn't aggressive yet, actually more friendly than some of the females but I know he will be, I always hear of them being aggressive! Hope not!

I had one rooster. He was a Chocolate Cuckoo Orpington. He was a really big bird but very calm and docile. One of my favorites I’ve ever had.

So can anyone tell me if I have a Golden Cuckoo Marans? That's what the seller said he was. That's his two little hens with him. The wind was blowing hard, that's why the one on the right looks like an explosion.

They are definitely golden cuckoo marans! Very handsome roo and beautiful hens!
