My marans roos are so HUGE they can barely get up on the roosts!

If I were to clip wings, it would be just one side. That keeps them in the yard.

I have a leghorn and an ameraucana or two that love to jump and leave and 'free range'

I would not toss them out and would continue to incubate. You'd be surprised at how many may still hatch. I've had the heat go up to 110 all day (while I was gone) and down as low as 80 for a weekend and they still hatched. They're amazing creatures.

The power went out at 10pm. By morning the incubator temp was down to 45degrees. The power was off for three days!!!

I tossed them... Poor things! We just weren't ready for the weather to change so drastically! The generator is set up now. Maybe the girls will donate some eggs so I can join in on the upcoming hatch-a-long>

Yes the pink chick is back.....Thank you.......but now to figure out how to get it a little closer and get rid of the background like I did before. I am not very computer friendly.

I am giving thanks today for all of those tornados and severe storms that totally dodged me last night! KathyinMO, I hope you were spared too?? Lots of tornado touchdowns last night in your area. All I had here was LOTS of rain, a few gusts of wind, and two lightning bolts. This morning, it is cold and about to get much colder. Sleet and freezing rain, maybe some snow predicted, with temps in the upper 20s today, and teens tonight!

Funny you bring this up.......about 3 or 4 of the girls from GFF are the same way......fly the fence, walk the fence line to tease the others, scratch, eat bugs and then fly up to the top of the gates and sit there watching everyone else like they are saying "ha ha ha.....we're telling ya.....if you's guys would just fly ova da fence, come on give it a shot"......."No? Aww you's all are nothing but a big bunch a sissy CHICKENS!"
