I bought him as a day old so did not see egg he hatched from. His sister, behind him in last pic. lays decent eggs. He has a lot of color but my girls are quite dark with not much neck coppering so hoping to get some nice chicks out of him.

Sorry i placed picture on text by mistake. Anyway Aussie I have had good feathering on chicks and am in Colorado.

The proposed color SOP for the Blue Copper hen is below. What's up with the "lemon"?????

Color of Female

Comb, Face, Wattles and Ear-Lobes: Bright red.
Beak: Dark horn.
Eyes: Reddish bay.
Shanks and Toes: Dark Slate, bottom of feet pinkish white.
Head: Lemon.
Neck: Hackle—Coppery orange, with a narrow blue stripe through the middle of each feather, terminating in a point near its lower extremity.
Front of neck—Blue with narrow lacing of coppery orange.
Back: Blue.
Tail: Blue.
Wings: Blue.
Breast: Upper breast, blue with narrow lacing of coppery orange.
Body and Stern: Blue.
Legs: Lower Thighs—Blue.
Shank and Toe Feathering—Blue.
 
Hey y'all I was just wondering if you all could tell me something!!!!! I know that the primary color of BCM's shanks should be black but I purchased two brothers from a friend, and their shanks are gold, and they are feathered. I was kind of thinking a cross with welsummer. I, however, did have my friend hatch out their offspring, on import hens, and they are mixed color shanks of gold toes and black legs..... I am lost.... should I cross out and make improvements........ HELP!!!!!!
