I went back and looked at your pics. I'm not seeing a golden cuckoo. Which one were you asking about?

I finally got my chicks marked. This is what I marked: 6 cockerels (3 are maybes. 3 definite.), 3 for too much color, and two for too little color. Hopefully I'll be able to track them and see if my predictions are correct.

Experienced French Copper Maran peeps- do you believe that the dark color of the egg shell gets lighter even if breeding with only FCM's? or is the lighter shell from cross breeding.

Please rate my roos. Top one is lightly feathered. Bottom is not but have many hens to choose from to cross with. I'm very new and want to choose the best combos. Looking for advice/suggestions

on crossing lavender ameracaunas, olive eggers, easter eggers, and of course fbcm. I've got roos and hens of all.

Here is one of my bcm hens who went very stubbornly
Broody. I bought her 14 fertile eggs (mix of polish, blue
Marans and black copper marans and buckeye).
She hatched 10 of them out and has been an amazing
Momma. I hope she does the same thing next time.
Chicks are 5.5 weeks old and she still mothers
Them. I gave away 8 and let her keep two.

Any guesses on sex? I really hope it is a pullet. Gold cuckoo Marans and the chick is sweet but flighty.
