Well that and I do like the Marans, but I'm not too invested in them from a breeding stand point.
If I had a hen house full of #9 layers (even if they were green, with purple spots and came from Timbuktu) I would be content.
For me, it's all about the eggs.
I really wish I could find some Wheatens with a more consistent egg color, I think by far they are much more beautiful than the Black Coppers.
