Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

Welcome Pinkyglory!

I think what they are referring to is that Cuckoo Marans do not have crisp barring like the barred rock but rather more of a messy barring, not quite as clean in appearance.

I have been waiting for some else to say something , but I guess it isn't going to happen. Would it be possible to see a closeup of the comb on #1 as the comb looks to have a Carnation at the end. I assume you want an honest opinion.

Can I join in?

The gorgeous "normal" Wheaten guy is for sale, so any of you WA people want a Wheaten boy. . .

I'm getting rid of him because I've got a glorious, yet much smaller (but the same age) Blue Wheaten boy. I want to work with Blue Wheatens, not Wheatens.

So sorry to read about this Wynette. Thanks for all your answers even during this difficult time.

Hi, Teresa! Thanks a bunch. I'm a very private person and typically don't put things like this online, but the Marans thread is sort of like gabbing with a bunch of old friends! It was a pleasure to meet you & your little ones the other day!

Maclem - do you hatch eggs? If so, there are many of us on BYC who sell hatching eggs. Hatching's fun!!
