I like my marans to have Junk in their Trunk - - - WIDE LOAD - - LARGE birds.

I like the Large Marans also and that is what I am breeding for in the future. I culled all my narrow back short leg female back in the spring. On the narrow back female it is virtually impossible to get any kind of weight on them. I have some young female that are almost feathered from first molt and I think everyone will like them as they are huge. Will post pictures in a few days.

Here's some more egg pictures

The egg in the middle is from my all black, black copper and the one on the top is from my mossy hen
the 2 on the left are from my Cuckoo that lays the darkest eggs and the other ones are my Delaware chocolate milk colored ones
even in sunlight it is so hard to get those eggs to look the color that they are....

Thanks poularde I've been waiting the wait have several more that look like they might start and a bunch practicing sitting in the egg box. I have some French Cuckoos from way dark eggs another month or so to wait even if they've been practicing.....
