he is huge, and the drive back was great!!! I was SO happy! It was dark and raining and windy back roads, but I was happy! I have to admit though that I brought home 2 FBCM chicks as well...they appear to be girls (based on wing feather length) but who knows! They are my only black coppers, So I guess they will have to go with my Gnarles son!!! What do you all think of my new boys conformation?

Oh, and my husband is already asking when I am selling the other GC rooster, I told him I need at LEAST 2, and he just rolled his eyes!

I wish I would've gotten my coop built about 2 months sooner! I got offered about 15 Golden Cuckoos, but had nowhere to put them!

You have to breed different colors to get other colors. Example: BCM x Blue to get Blue Copper. Check out the Marans Club links they may help you out.

he IS a pure marans, the color is a variety, NOT a breed. I will keep whatever of his offspring look like a Golden Cuckoo and then look at egg color from there. Right now I am just thrilled to have feathered shanks!!!
