LOL I do want to BUT they would be a result of my lame blue copper roo (Pooky Bear) and Bella the solid blue hen that I have let run around with him out of pity lol. Even though he is lame from an injury not genetics...I don't wanna do the mixed color thing so much. I would probably have to stick all the babies with the blue coppers because I want my blues to stay blue haha. So I don't know if I even wanna go there

She does have 6 pretty eggs just sitting out there. You wouldn't believe where she has been laying them. We have this old plastic trash can that fell over behind an outbuilding and is cracked so it just got left out there. Pookey Bear found it and thought it was a neat hideout. He called Bella over there and she musta liked it too. My son texted me a picture the other day and said, "Hey look at your goofy rooster sitting in the trash can" lol. So now there are 6 eggs in there, found them yesterday. They are the Trash Can Kids...

I have all my others (girls and boys) separated for the winter to give the girls a break before spring. Some of thier feathers were getting really wore down.

I'm just glad I got some before winter hit! I was starting to think I wouldn't see my first egg till spring. Maybe I should start convincing the two young pullets to think about laying early too. "Ok little ladies, set your calendars for the first week in February!"

I'm having the same issues with a couple of my ladies. It's driving me nuts! I don't use artificial light, and I'm pretty sure it's only 2 of them that's doing it.... So would that mean they might not be lacking in vitamin A? They've been laying for about 2 weeks, I'm hoping it's somehing that will go away because they are such lovely girls.
