They lay a nice creamy off white light beige egg. Here is my 3 year old Black Australorp's gigantor egg from a couple days ago. I think she was confused that day and thought she was a goose or something.

The 2 Marans eggs were from yesterday, the one on the bottom came from my 6 mos. old Blue Copper and the one on the top is from a 10 mos. old Blue Copper.

geebs~ Staying warm right now is a chore.....it's 16 degrees on my front porch still......brrrrr!
Hope you daughter and her baby are able to stay warm while waiting. That is just stinky.....on the side of the road. What a day to have that happen. Don't know if the weather your way is the same as mine, gosh I hope not and I hope that you are able to get to her safely.

I would not toss them out and would continue to incubate. You'd be surprised at how many may still hatch. I've had the heat go up to 110 all day (while I was gone) and down as low as 80 for a weekend and they still hatched. They're amazing creatures.

Illia & Harris5 ~ Sorry for your losses! I agree with Ruth, keep them in the bator if you haven't pitched them already! I'd rather deal with a drop in temps than a rise. They may just have been delayed??

We are expecting tornados tonight, and snow and ice tomorrow! Spent the whole day getting in supplies and swapping the chicklets into the big coop for the next day or so. Poured down rain this morning after I let them out. Talk about dumb clucks, it never dawned on them to go into the coop to stay dry!

Luckily, it warmed up after it quit raining, and they got dried off. They finally decided the coop was better than drowning

.

No egg this morning when I went out, but when I came home, there was one lying in the run! Three eggs in three days, laid in 3 different places. Can't figure out who is laying what, where??
