FYI - I don't breed Golden Cuckoos (don't even have any). I DID ask if anyone had any many months ago, that was for a non-BYC-friend.

ETA: Pink, what happens when you have the info. stored and then it changes?

I believe Harris5 did in fact just pick up the last of the BHB stock in GC. I had some of that stock a couple years ago... real nice.. I think they were originally Kelly Cratty lineage if I am not mistaken... Hard to remember all of the trivia... But I am sure if you get some eggies for your friend Donna will gladly fill in the blanks. I don't know that they are up to laying yet as she just procured them.

I have a chummy here that has some..lays about 4's and 5's but they are "bright". That is the steady lay color... starts out 6's or so. They are a originally Braden I believe...

Anyone in California/Nevada who is going to the PPBA show in Stockton this weekend, here is the schedule released this morning in terms of the open egg show and Marans Meet. The Marans Chicken Club USA is the host. People attending can bring eggs to exhibit. Bring three eggs, $5 and signup at the MCCUSA booth by 9am.

o 9:00 am – Saturday

· PPBA bird entry judging begins

· Egg show committee members set-up egg show; Bldg 2 where all the vendors are set up. Chris Tamayo is POC for chairs and tables

· Hand delivered Egg show entries due

o 10:00 am – Egg show table set-up and attended by MCCUSA members

o 11:00am - Egg entry judging begins immediately followed by judges placement presentation – Judge Samantha Downey/All

o 1:00 pm – Report of number and varieties of marans entered into the show due. Linda/Pete

o 2:00 pm – Regional Meet led by Pete – All Location TBD

o 3:00 pm – PPBA Breeders Raffle

o 3:20 pm – MCCUA raffle all

o 3:30 pm – PPBA Raffle

o 4:00 pm – Egg Show table breakdown – All

o 5:30 pm – PPBA Banquet social/wine raffle

o 6:00 pm – PPBA Banquet

There will be a sales barns, and it from the PPBA thread over in Chickenstocks/Shows/Meets, I know there will be a variety of Marans for sale...

but....I found some time to take a couple pictures of 2 eggs from today.

Some of the eggs I'm getting are Jumbo size +. If these were fertile eggs, would I get better chickens from them? What happens when you hatch a double yolked egg?
