Mel, I have Jerseys - love them! I am a fan of LARGE chooks! I have a blue roo and a splash roo.

Yes, that big, beautiful Blue Jersey Giant Rooster that you have is what I want. I'm guessing that you probably don't want to sell him, so I will probably need to buy a dozen eggs and hope for the best.

It will be a little closer to springtime before I am ready to get eggs. I will need to get them at a time when Pinkchick is going to hatch a batch so I can put them in her incubator. I would hope that out of a dozen eggs I should get at least 1 nice Rooster, wouldn't you think? (My luck they will be all hens!)

That's one of my three favorite Cucloos in the world.

I'm soon going to have (temporary?) custody of her and her sister and they will be reunited with their hatchmate rooster whom has been stewarded elsewhere fro the past two years. The rooster has a wee little bit of stubble for shank feathering and these girls lay nice dark eggs so I'm stoked about the futre of my Cuckoo line.

Geebs-Aren't you supposed to take the eggs out of the carton before you cook them on the stove? That's quite a range of colors!
