I need advice. I locked down last night, but the weather is really not cooperating over here. I have my humidity level at 72%. Is this too low for hatching eggs or should they be OK?

Thanks. For some reason I thought it was 70 - 80%. I'm really not sure where I got that from.

Well, today's hatch went fantastic....out of 16 eggs I had 14 hatch! I have mostly cuckoos and 2 splash this time around. I'm just waiting for the last couple to dry off all the way...and in the meantime I am up to my neck in seed starting. Its fun to watch the seeds grow, but tedious getting all the soil mixed with water, filling the trays, putting in the seeds, covering, labeling, writing them on my list and so on. And this is just round one....

Sounds like a great hatch for you, congrats! End of day 20 here, with no signs of anything

I won't give up for 5 more days, but I have a sinking feeling in my gut. Wish I could grow seeds here too, for some reason I have a bad time with root rot in my started seedlings, no matter how dry I let them get. Need to find some Cayeanne pepper plants and heirloom tomatoes! I am ready to start the garden!!! Tomorrow is getting into the 60s with sun...finally!!

I have more hatching in a couple of weeks...taking a break since I'll be going down to Kansas to pick up some stock. and I've got those Wyandotte chicks coming next week...I'm gonna need to break from hatching inbetween me thinks
