Harmony Oaks in Ca has them and I think Karen is hatching some for herself and I have one hen from Cuckoos that I hatched..she's smaller and even though she hatched out of a 7 egg she barely lays a 4. I think she's pretty but I don't know what to do with her maybe cross her with OE's I know her eggs so she just hangs out with the other BC's.

Denny is right Carrie of Harmony Oaks in Arnold California has whites & I have been hatching for her since her power problems with the stow storms. She took a bunch of whites home last week. I have a dozen in my incubator now & the one lone "rescued" chick I posted a picture of.
I think her website is Substainableyields.com
Karen

Actually I was wrong Carrie is at Substainableyieldpoultry.com & she does have White Marans & has been working with them for quite some time.

CP~ I have 5 (3 are Splash

) BLRW babies and 5 Marans babies...I know there are a couple blues and a couple blacks, I'll have to get back to you on who is who. I had them seperated at hatch and banded your kiddos but can't see who is who in the brooder. Still one more egg of yours in the 'bator that made it to lockdown that hasn't hatched or pipped. I also have a few more pips in my eggs that should probably hatch before I get home from work today.

Thank you for the info. I shall look at her website. This is a great thread for info. Your title is sewandgrow. I take it you sew and grow chickens?

A surprise this morning!! I apparently have a hatch going on here too... out in the Key West chicken coop lol. I went out to feed them this morning and saw a perfectly hatched out egg sitting in one of the broodies' box (there are 2 broodies). She looked like she would remove something from my body if I got any closer so I am just gonna check on her later. I have to get some smaller gauge wire or netting around the run now so those tiny things don't run out. The key west babies are born really tiny.

Your eggs are NORMAL size - - - I kid you not when I say my girls lay JUMBO eggs. LOVE them

. Yours are darker, so maybe with a little love connection I can get darker JUMBO eggs . . . That would be the BOMB !

Yours should get a little larger as they get older . .. .

I wonder if larger eggs are lighter because there is only so much "paint" to apply, and larger eggs get a thinner coat?

By the way Math, I love your new avatar!

Mornin' everyone....woke up this morning to snow...and supposed to get snow for the next four days...not a happy camper. Me thinks March really wants to go out like a lion

Got a hatch coming up over the weekend...so its gonna be hard to be patient, yet again

Got some chicks in there i'm dying to meet!

Hi everyone. I've been away for a week and have some catching up to do on my reading. LOL. Mother Nature has deemed it not yet Spring here in the Sierras and has dumped about 5 feet of new snow on me since last Saturday. Needless to say, there have been some serious power issues and falling trees have left their impact on my Mothers car and neighbors fence and home.

I appreciate you all sharing my name, and correct web info to the party looking for White Marans.

Karen (sewandgrow) and I are going to make the trek up to Stevenson, Washington, and I believe there will be a white or two packed in with the luggage. lol. Look forward to meeting any of you who also make it out to the Northern Nationals!

Time to go blow snow and fill the feeders.

Your White Marans are beautiful. When will you be going to Washington? I live near Eugene, Oregon near the 5 Fwy. Could meet you if you could pack a White Maran hen and roo for me.
