No, Silkies would be much cheaper and more practical than what I really want. Been toying with the idea of getting back into my Chinese Crested dogs, but man! Prices sure have gone through the roof with them! There's also the problem that my Shepherds would EAT THEM!!!

Hello, I am new... to chickie stuff. I have hatched some of my girls' eggs in my homemade refridger-bator. I am interested in breeding now. I really like unusual looking birds. Having said this... Can anyone tell me what would happen if I put my Cuckoo Marans girls (I have 2) with my cousin's FBCM breeding pair. My girls have lighter eggs, so we could tell them part. What type of chicks could possibly result? Would they still be pure Marans? Or would this ruin something?Thanks for any help... Lisa )

Colors would be 50% unicolor black, and 50% unicolor barred black. So you'd get solid blacks, and dark Cuckoos. Now someone will come in and correct me...
