Good Morning Pinkchick!

Good ol' liquid sunshine to start the week out with again....cloudy day, heavy marine cloud layer..."the toe" is confused

It looks like we "might" get up to 60 today...

Oh Mel, I'll trade weather with you! This is about the 6th day in a row of mid 90s and high humidity.

Hard to get any work done in this suffocating humidity, especially when there is no breeze. Chickens are whining about the heat as much as I am. Hard to watch them panting out there.

Randy~ There's always a possibility that she could have taken a fall. I don't believe she did, but I did find her in a nest box that is very seldom used . Very weird now that I think about it that she was in that particular box. No one ever goes in that box, I don't think they care for the location of it in the coop because it is not in a nice dark corner like the other 2 boxes in that coop.

Mel~ Would you tell the toe to get with the program? This stupid marine stuff is for the coast and we don't live on the coast. I need good reports from the toe Mr.

So I'm sure it's my Blue girl who is laying as her pelvic points have widened and her comb seems to have gotten three times bigger. But DAMMIT if she doesn't have a side sprig.

Couldn't see it with her comb being so little, but now it's obvious. Her eggs are officially only for eating. I'll have to get a good blue daughter of a BCM in so I can get my splash fix.
And did I mention she's mean to boot? She beats up the other hens.

One of my BCM's comb has doubled in size so I have hope for another fart egg soon.


And a question.. Do pullet eggs usually taste sorta weak? We ate the little egg last night and it wasn't near as rich or dense as my EE's eggs.

Three pips so far, right on time! 6 out of 7 eggs were seen rocking, so keep your fingers crossed for me!
