You'd be surprised. We used those ink wells up until the sixth grade...in CT no less!! My teacher was quite old, as was the Principal. Both had been my Dad's teachers. The Principal, Mis Bolldizar, was all of 98 lbs soaking wet, but carried a huge, thick yard stick as a weapon! I remember seeing her whack the daylights out of bad boys! She struck total fear in my little heart, so I would make her cards for the holidays! I can remember walking into her office, to this day, shaking almost uncontrollably, to give her my suck-up cards!
She really was a sweet old gal, but back then, you sure didn't want to get sent to the Principal's office!
Mrs. Leach, the English teacher, was probably 75 or so when I had her, and my Dad always remarked how old she was when he had her! Wish there were more teachers like that these days; you didn't DARE get bored in their classes!!
Debbi scared! and the suck up cards! i dont know why but that made me laugh I can just picture it all! I used to be really, really shy and would get scared like that of certain people. You'd never know it now tho...got over it somewhere along the way for the most part
Uh... I was an awkward in my early teens, shy, had no self confidence then I met my highschool sweetheart @ my 15th bday party and turned wild! Lol I was crazy. Kinda miss those years but would never go back there. Haha
OH I remembered It was "The Rifleman" Anyone ever watch that? I still enjoy them.
