I get bedtime snories all night long every night whether I want them or not.....the problem is he only knows one snory.

atleast he could switch up the ending every now and then...geesh.

Marans, Black Copper Marans,,,and super dark eggs!
Do the shaving cream trick and I promise it will be a surprise ending to his Snory.

Can't....that would prompt huge revenge.
I be berry smart and heed the advise of the wise ol' snory teller and let sleeping dogs lie.

Good morning! I have a question. I found a local Maran breeder. But all he has is silver cukoo for sale atm. If I cross my splash over cukoo or the cukoo over bc. Will they be mutts or a known color pattern. I'm such a noob at the gene factors.

Broody vs 'Bator is over....she crushed one and had some pushed out from under her. I took them all and replaced with 9 chicks. She loves the chicks and is doing great with them.
I candled all eggs and only put 2 back in the 'bator with the six I left in there. 8 total were good and swimming around a few days ago when I candled. I hadn't noticed this before but they are due to hatch on Thanksgiving. Maybe some will hatch the next day too when we have our Thanksmas dinner.

just got back inside from doing chicken chores- had to clean and refill waterers, had to break the ice out of the one in the aviary as it was frozen this am. It's about 25* here right now. Can't get on and post in the am until after the kids are ready and on the bus to school! Don't have to go into town today for work- waiting for our shop to warm up a bit more so I can go redue a couple sets of closet door

they didn't stain up right

Have to agree with you Pink- that is a nice group of blues to look at!

this group is in our kitchen- their brooder is inside another crate for their safety- we have an Irish Setter who is bound and determined to cause great bodily harm to them so we have to keep everyone safe. We think the chicks do better and are easier to handle when we can be around them more.

No, but I'll check this afternoon to be sure. He/she is kind of whiney, has a plaintive kind of peep, loves cuddling up under the Silkie.

That would be very cool, as I will be there to see it happen!
