mine are from va - they actually were posted on byc!! but the person I got em from hasn't been on byc (at least under that name) since.... next time I think I will go to Bishop's chickens ..... (edited to say wish I could go where flgardengirl gets hers lol - every time I see that avatar I turn green

What about a comb that has a double point not a side by side type of double but a point in the middle (right in a row- correct alignment) that has two peaks without going all the way down in-between them? Is that considered a fault? I haven't heard of it being a dq but wondered if it would be a fault?

Our son has hatched and is now growing out a number of BCM chicks to start his own flock. At what age should he start sharing pictures for help in culling and selecting those to keep?

We will butcher the culled Roos and the culled hens will end up in the eatting egg flock.

His first set hatch between Oct 19-22 and are from BYC'r Charm1704 sold to him as Wade C1 and Bev blood lines.

The other set were day olds hatched by BYC'r CrazyforeggsJulie out of Texas and arrived to us on 11/2. They were sold as day olds from WadeC1 bloodlines.

Will get him to help Rangel chicks so I can get pictures of them to share.

Debbi, the more reason to do some testing and research, None of us were ever told that all this was going to happen. If anyone knew they sure never told me what to expect.

Debbi, the more reason to do some testing and research, None of us were ever told that all this was going to happen. If anyone knew they sure never told me what to expect.

Me either! I think we need to start a seperate thread for "Just Combs", or something of the like. Pics of ideal combs, DQ combs, faults in combs, color in combs; you catch my drift? I had never heard of the breed Penedesenca or of their Carnation combs...that is till it all fell in my lap!
