Good morning all

Another cold morning here!

Kim ~ Hard to tell with that pic if he is roached or just standing funny. Looks like he has his neck pulled in? A roached back will have a hump in the middle of the back, much like a dog with a roach.

Mornin back to ya! Its a balmy 14* here this morning...but its alright. I'll take it...cuz my little pullet is gonna make I think! She is eating well, bright eyed and sweet as anything. I'm just watchin her for secondary infection...but its looking really good! And I think I just made an even better pal than she was before...she's loving the attention!

Morning Debbi!

Not quite as cold here this morning as it has been the last couple of days. We have had a couple days of what I call "permafrost" where is just doesn't get warm enough to thaw, but the good ol' woodstove has kept us nice and comfy. Heck, last night and this morning it's likely to chase me outside it's burning so hot.

Is this a better photo?

This is how he stood all of the time. I am just wondering...trying to go through all the old and older photos I still have that haven't been lost because of a couple 'puter crashes and re-familiarize myself with my old birds and try to spot things that maybe I didn't see before.

This guy was one of Gnarles' brothers. He was culled for the back angle thing and clean legs, I also didn't like his tail. Had Blue Copper boy with color just like him but also had clean legs, but didn't stand like this hunched up guy at all.

As I go through photos.....I keep saying to myself, "Have I really had all these birds over such a short amount of time?"

ill second that on it being a good thing its not windy. That wind can just wipe ya out! I must admit I've been doing some window shopping on other people's BCM stock. It's been interesting... still hoping I can find someone with some good stock. I must admit tho...I am kind of likin some of the Wade birds I'm seein

thanks Kim. I'm thrilled...she's still lookin pretty crappy missing tons of feathers, got some tears in her skin and stuff...but she is doing really well despite it all.

Pink, this guy isn't standing flat footed. It could just be the way he is standing.

If you have a flat footed photo of him, you might have a 2 for 1 --- Roach back AND Squirrel tail

Kim, I can't really tell. He kind of reminds me of a heavily built man, with the "No neck" syndrome!

Then again, there may be levels of roachiness. The one I had here had a definate "hump" right below his shoulders, so instead of the back slightly angling down, it went up, then suddenly down. Your boy's looks more flat to me, maybe it's a hard thing to see in pics?
