haha that's ok....I was just thinking of other ways it could be helpful! And guess what!? I think your girl ending her heat must have pushed it up this way....now Nevada is...as of this a.m. I can always tell...she gets extra clingy, like she gets insecure... yarg! At least she's small and the only thing I've gotta watch out for is a chihuahua, which stays in another room...he's hardly gonna go breaking down any doors!

Here are some shots that I took just before I set a few eggs for testing in the incubator on the 31st. I mismarked it from my Splash, but rather it is from one of my younger gals that just started laying. Using a small purse size mag flash light, a pink one of course.

Just before setting.

The egg color is washed out a little because I had to use the flash as I had the room blacked out for the next photo.

This morning, day 7 from looking into the bottom of the egg.

Looking into the top of the egg.

well...just spotted a pair of large hawks in the cemetary next door....time to get stuff done. Gonna talk to the neighbor with a bobcat and see if he can move some dirt and level off that area where I'm gonna build while the grounds not frozen....doing this will allow me to move more birds around and give me some leeway on getting started earlier than planned. I think I'm gonna need all the time I can get to be honest.

they are good... not laying and its driving me nuts!!!! and yes finally after having it fixed by 3 different people and it never working more then a day my brother fixed it....Go figure!

hmm - I got a high powered LED flashlight (at Target)
I can't see a whole lot, but I can see if the air cell forms and, sometimes, the veining towards the top.

It sure is easier to candle the teeny cream colored cochin eggs!!
and REALLY neat to watch from day 1 on - the little dot, the veining growing, the dot swimming around, etc.!!
