Yipee!! Me too! Ready to work on the project together Kim?

Yes Ma'am! I can't wait to get them! Can't wait to start working on them!

This year, I am going to focus on improving copper in my girls, the comb issue at hand and focus on leg feathering as one of the girls from Bill I am using with LB has clean legs, but she is wayyyy to nice not to use and I know she is clean for the comb problem, so I will battle the clean leg issue....again, but what the heck right? It's a small price to pay for hopefully getting rid of the comb problem if I can.

Have a wonderful day friends and I will see ya'll later....time to scoot!

Set them! Nothing wrong with selling the chicklets off as mixes, no one said you had to keep them.

Set them girl! Set them!

haha too funny! I just have to make sure I don't get too attached in case there are hitches in the incubation process...but my gut is telling me yes to do it, but just wanted second opinions

Haha I knew you couldn't hold out. A new bator is just way too tempting!!!
I sent you that pm with the sausage recipes hopefully it went it was way LONG.

SET THEM!! You know how disappointed you would be if the turner crapped out with the good eggs!! Did you reeeeaaallly think you'd hear anything else here??

haha..if nothing else...it confirms my logic isn't way out of line. The other part is last year my uncle had a part go bad in his incubator and had to order a part and it ended up being on backorder and it delayed his hatching for 3 more weeks than planned.

I don't want that.

I just gathered two more when I went out to see my birdies and will check again tonight when I get ready to shut them in. I think its pretty fantastic they are laying so great right now too. I know for sure that I have 4 or 5 possible blue copper eggs and birchen eggs in there too. So, maybe it is a good way to do a test run before the real test hatches...

haha....I just want to make sure the equipment is in good working order before the real hatching season begins. I know how attached I get to the little eggies when they are cooking. I get bummed when things don't hatch out or etc...so I can't imagine having waited for a long while and getting my first batch of test hatch eggs going and then to have it go kaput on me......

At least this way I won't get as upset.
I'll have to look at the recipes when I get home. I can't wait to try some of them out!

I think if I were to buy an older Sportsman, or even a newer one, I would keep the spare parts in stock at my house. The parts that are most likely to wear out or go kapoot in the middle of a long awaited hatch! It seems it always happens with the good eggs too! Luckily for me, when my GOOD bator's fan went out in the middle of the hatch, I had a back-up in the LG, and had a few computer fans on hand. A wee bit of tinkering, and it went into the bator. So far, it's still going and is a bit better than the original one. Either that, or get another Sportsman, on top of the two you have??

I think its a good idea to buy extra parts before you need them because the price always goes up on parts and on shipping plus they always seem to run out of stuff right when you need it lol.
