I just tried to re-edit my previous post and the system wouldn't let me....

It let me click edit and open the text for editing, BUT it wouldn't let me enter the text to add a missing word!

The system appears to give us just one opportunity to make mistakes. I find I can edit once but not more than that.
 
Bad news here this morning - all 12 of my Silkie eggs are clear.

Totally bums me out. And then just to add insult to injury, Ella, my avatar, crowed for the first time this morning - just a day shy of 11 weeks.

Guess he's Elliot afterall.

Oh well. Back to the drawing board ...

I want to swap roosters around during the breeding season, I have read all kinds of time between roosters from 3 days to 30 days.

Anyone know of university sites to validate which time frame is correct????

Sorry! I had that happen with my last batch of eggs out of 24 23 were clear and it didn't hatch

well really out of 48 eggs set only 1 hatched

I am sure if I had kept him it would have been a roo too..... I gave him away.
