Debbi~ Can't wait to see some photos! Stay Warm!

Hi EVERYONE! Haven't been around lately...things have been...well things have just been. Hope everyone is doing great.
Talked with Mel the other day and he is doing good. He is saving me some Olive eggs for hatching.
Also, chatted with Ivywoods and she too is doing well. It was good to catch up with both peeps. I sure do miss alot of folks that used to hang out here in the thread.

Vicki~ Hatch day is creeping up my friend! :)

Well this first batch that was in when the electric was out I got 1 blue, 1 black Coppers and 1 Easter egger. Only one other Marans looked viable and the 2 Olive Egger didn't hatch along with 7 lav Am. I don't think they were all good. I will recandle to double check. I didn't set a ton of eggs. Maybe since your eggs were younger they will fair better.

Do you still have the eggs in the incubator? I hope that if there are any babies in them still they will get to work! I was encouraged by the development in the ones I left in the incubator. There were three or four that were dark enough that I could tell they had something in them, but couldn't tell if they had stopped developing or not. I could tell that the 11 I took out were definitely ones that stopped developing somewhere around 7 - 8 days old..which is when the power went out.

I left them all in the bator even the bad one LOL Hubby would not let me take them out. Pinks eggs are in there too so no since in taking them out. I made some new "baskets" and I just love them! I put Pinks babies in them cuz I didn't have extras for 4 sets of eggs. They were from the Dollar Tree and they were collapsable storage boxes. I also bought a 2 pack of small cooling racks that fit right over the baskets used Zip Ties to hold them on and voila nice boxes that can be staked very easy! I will be going back and getting more. I will also be making a hatcher to fit these boxes.

OHHHH I have pics

Vicki I am glad you eggs are progressing

looks great! I hope they do something for you!

on those containers, what are the measurements? Those are pretty much exactly what I've been looking for if they are the right size! I might have to see if there are some here...

I will check tomorrow... I threw the paperwork away but it is still in the shop. My guess is they are 6-7 wide and 11-12 inches long and 4-5 inches tall. I may go get some more in a day or two.

I wonder if they have them online...those sound like they would work perfectly for garden shares of lettuce and etc I bring to people. I really want some of those!!
