Will it create blue copper?

coppered birds will create coppered...no matter the body color. whether they actually exhibit copper color depends upon the melanizers in your offspring, but they are still coppers genetically

Also, does any of you marans breeders have a few clean legged chicks pop up even though you have feather legged breeders?

If your birds come from a copper gened background, even though the resulting chicks may not show copper, they are still considered Blue and Splash Copper because they carry the gene for it. PURE solid Blues and Blacks are hard to come by. Most folks get confused when they see the copper not show, but if they came from an E^R bird, they carry the copper genes. As for the clean legged birds, yes, they do pop up, even when coming from parents who are both feathered. Hope this helps? Oh, and welcome aboard!!
