At that age, I would suspect what you are seeing is "mossiness" or mossy feathering. Post a pic and we could help you better.

After searching through the site with the term Mossy Feathering I think your right and that is what I'm seeing on my chick... Thanks for that I'm new to this breed and am so glad I found this site! It's been nice to have such a wealth of information and making being a new-bee so much easier!

I also have a chick that has a few white feathers on the bottom of its wings is that just another undesirable trait of the bread?

For those folks having problems with images and wanting to use Photobucket you'll need to go to the last reply in a thread and find the Preferences button. Click that and you'll see Change Preferred Editor. Switch to BB Code Editor. You can now grab the Image code from your image at Photobucket and paste it into your post. As long as the image tags are around it it will display in your post.

whaaaatttt??? I'm having enough problems what I'm doing to post anything! I don't ever recall seeing tge BB code or Change Preferred Editor options on my pages?? This old gal doesn't do good with change....

On mine that would be ABOVE the page numbers at the top...... my three year old knows more about how to use a mouse than my mother LOL my 5 year old granddaughter has her own tablet! They just have to many tech toys.

I don't know what either of you are talking about! How do you even get a different browser?? Does it discard all of your favorites as I have read? I hate anything Google, so Chrome is out of the picture, what else is there? What's wrong with IE???
