Just thought I'd share for all of those that have been such an encouragement to me and my family and for all the prayers said for my dad over the last several months. Today he came home! He also is able to walk with two prosthetics and a walker, even though he is blind. We are so relieved and happy to have him home after sooooo long!

Indeed. lots of tears and hashing numbers and cutting out as much stuff as possible. I also sold off tons of birds to make life more manageable time and money wise. I can tell that they are both so relieved, which is all I could ask for.

I have 5 marans almost ready to lay. I can't wait to see the eggs. they were purchased from cackle hatchery may 2 of this year.

Thank you! The best part is that the majority of his healthcare was covered and the remaining total left will be covered thru a small inheritance he received when his uncle passed away several years ago. God has definitely provided. I've seen some of the bills with lots of zeros behind the total yet at the end of the bill there are zeros at the end of the statement saying they are totally covered.

The news gets better and better!!

Hello marans peeps!  I am pages behind on this thread.  The ameraucana thread as been hopping and takes all my time to keep up with the drama. 

Look what I got in the mail today!!  No more plucking by hand for me.




Now I am ready to cull all my marans cockerels.  lol!   Just had to share with someone.

REALLY? In the mail? And only $350? That is just the sweetest lil smile ever. Oh, and I like the plucker too.
