Here is an empirical data study that I would like to get underway post haste:


1.How many ~ how many birds are in each enclosure?


2. How much feed and of what kind of feed are you feeding each of the enclosures?
In order for good data to be extrapolated, we will need a control group, that is, enclosures that are fed exactly what you normally feed versus the research feed.
That said, we need to get a good idea of how much feed goes into each enclosure- weight wise


Please be incredibly generalistic. For example, I buy two fifty lbs of lay pellet per month. VS. a bit of this a bit of that etc..

Oh boy.. I was actually going to do a head count today and make a list of who is staying and who is going. I have more than I need and want right now, but I am growing them out so that I can pick the best 5-8 of each breed.

I would love to help with your study. I will work on that info and let you know. Even if I am not in the control group I will try and track info.

This is Willow...our Marans. She is so sweet. I think she is getting ready to lay. Today I found her testing out the nesting box. But, she hopped out when she saw that I discovered her! I hope she is getting ready!
