Yes they are, but the exposure and the contrast are wrong in that picture-I visited the link. Look at the tons of inky black color around the eggs.

My chicks are here I think I have two blue and four black or three of each (not sure about one dark chick) they all seem healthy one little one has a bit of pasty but but they are eating and drinking and I gave them cornmeal and apple cider vineger to stop the pasting.

THis is the one that is in question as to color?

I visited both these chicks parents and grandparents they are beautiful well kept birds the parents are peachicks and the grandparents are Will Marrows from Whitmore farm they are very well kept and beautiful. I highly suggest either breeder. Will also has wellsummers and should have chicks available in spring (I think)

tfpets he ships both chicks and eggs and chicks in smaller amounts then 25 also ! I would check with him in the spring he as birds that are heavily selected from the Wade Jeane lines.

Thank You,
I love my Marans that have some Wade Jeane lines! I dont have any blues though, so that wouldnt be an issue.

Now Question: Does he let you have blue alone, or is it blue and black together? Oh, I had another question and erased my whole post, lucky you!

I wonder if the blues n blacks are slightly sexable like the Cuckoos and the ligher ones are roosters? Keep an eye on that one and see? Be an interesting theory.

Thanks,
Tina

I am not sure about the sexing question but I do have one suspected boy who has copper colored fuzz around his head but it may just be a exeptionally well colored pullet. I am not sure if Will can just send you blues. He has the blues blacks and splashes together so I am not sure what numbers of a color will result in his breeding pen. Conntact him and check it out he is very friendly and usually quick to respond.

I wish I had some egg pics to post, but I am having quite a bit of fun snapping pictures of the birds. They change so much from week to week:
