I looked up in the SOP and the last thing on the back is not a point, its called a blade. Every other pointy thing from that forward is considered a point. Getting a 5 point comb in any breed is not easy. Combs are only worth 5 points when judging according to the APA SOP, so I don't worry too much about how many points there are.

Oh I know that.
But I'm talking about the front and back of the comb, how much of it should be smooth or have the tiniest points to be even counted.
My girl gives me an egg like that almost everyday...from time to time she graces me with a very nice "Marans Egg" (even though it is still a very nice Marans egg underneath that lavender)

You really oughtta keep me updated with that! I've always been in love with those lavender eggs, and asked Wynette once about if anyone's been working on a possible strain. . .
From what I understand there is a huge chance her offspring will lay a regular Marans egg....it is said that this coating does not effect offspring egg color. Hopefully these buggers in the bator hatch....I thought that I would grow a few out and see what they do...I don't hold out much hope but it will be fun anyway. I was thinking of tossing the hen that lays them in with my BBS AM's to see what I could get going at it from direction as well. Aren't all the possibilities or even the slightest possibilities fun to think about??????? Can't hurt anything by trying right?
