My Copper Splash boy hatched 8/19/09. He was just looking so full of himself today.

What sort of empirical data study could we take up there? How many enclosures do you have with how many hens in each?
What is your maintenance regime like? Are you wiling to collect droppings?

My server keeps going down, sorry.
To answer your questions ...
A study of how Foragecakes can improve a flock.

I have 8 breeder pens, on sand, as well as 5 other coops with sand on the ground. I keep my facility very clean! All feeders and waterers (which are elevated) are sanitized with Oxine water twice weekly, chicks' daily.

Sand is scooped like kitty litter .. easy to clean, and keep the flock clean.

Yes, I will collect any dropping necessary!

I have some young BC Marans who look like what there supposed to be,but a few of them have one single white feather on there wing. Has anyone had this they came from a marans breeder who is supposed to be reputable. The ones I have seen this on should be 6-8 weeks old. Is this something to worry about I just want to have a good breeder flock

You don't cull a bird with a white feather until after the first molt...If it has white feathers then... it is a cull. Lots of birds I recieved from the top breeders in the US have white feathers as youngstock but this changes as they get older. Hold off on your culling this bird based on that trait alone until after he has shed his first set of feathers.

Some young marans have a white feather and hopefully will lose them.. Ask the person you have gotten your birds from they could tell you more about their birds..
