Please tell me you mean your Cree hens lay 8's a year later. . .
. Because the eggs I first purchased from them were Bev Davis adult hen eggs, and lovely 7's. She also had some Wade Jeanne pullet eggs just a little darker, and some Wheaten eggs in between from pullets. I've seen an 8 egg. . . Wynette's pullet lays a gorgeous 8 egg.
- But I'd love to think that my Cree birds will give me 8's and 7's for a LONG time.
But who knows, maybe Wynette's egg is a 9, the Cree eggs are 8s, and I just have too high of standards to call them so.
. . . I need one of those charts handy in real life to say for real what the eggs rate as. But I honestly do believe the Crees are 7's, Wynette's is an 8 - It is GORGEOUS but not practically black as the charts online show. . . Or maybe it is. I only have 2 to look at right now, (the rest are in the bator) so maybe they just seem lighter when they're all alone.
