That is my specialty .... Roosters and dwarfs! I have a special magic knob on my bator, and I keep forgetting to turn the darn thing off.

I woke up this morning to a peeping in my incubator! A Marans chick must have hatched a couple of minutes before I woke, it's still wet and wobbly on it's feet. I'm so excited,

Fellow Marans lovers, hubby and I have decided we only want to raise Marans!

I will have one breeding pen for my Black Coppers and the second pen that we are going to build, we decided, will be for Blue Birchens!

I know that it will actually be B/B/S Birchens but we will try to focus solely on the Blue.

Does anyone know of a reputable breeder of Blue Birchen Marans?

I will not be ready to purchase until the second breeding pen is built but I would like to get in contact with a breeder or breeders soon.
