Can I join a wee bit late?

I've got 11 mixes (Cream Legbar over Marans, Blue Orp, etc) in my new Brinsea 40 advance (which I'd highly recommend), due to hatch on Tuesday.

I'm really quite nervous since my previous chicken hatches have all gone terribly, and also I'm hatching them for a lady who's cockerel sadly died, so I'm trying to get some of his offspring for her.

Welcome! My hatch is due March 31, so it will be good to have company with another end-of-month hatch.

It's Day 15, and only one of the 10 eggs from Papa's Poultry looks undeveloped. The Maran egg is honestly unreadable, but I have eight assorted varieties that look excellent, and I can see Orpingtons and an Easter Egger wildly wiggling.

I think this will be one of my better hatches.

Starting with good eggs really helps.

I am hatching Welsh Harlequins...sexable at hatch. Drakes have a dark or black bill and females have a light bill with a black spot on tip...my two are text book perfect. I have two brooders set up to separate them. They start to lose this after 3 days.

Welsh Harlequins are beautiful ducks...... I have a brooder and garden full of them right now! I'd love to see some pics!

This was right after hatch and they were drying out. Male is on left, you can barely make out his dark bill and female is on the right. They still don't have any buddies yet but all except 3 are wiggling/pipping. There are 18 in the incubator. I want to see a pic of your champion drake! Silver phase or gold phase? Are do you all do that in the U.K. ?

Well, somewhere between now and setting for the Easter hatchalong, quite a few of us have eggs that will be hatching!!
