March 2017! Hatch with us!

I thought my Serama's had hatched, but it turns out I have 6 bantam EE's and 1 Serama. There are pips in the Bantam EE's. I don't see any in the Olive Eggers yet. But, we still have 24 hours before day 21 ends!!!

Let's go chickies!!!

I'm on the exact same hatching timeline as you. What a cute batch of bantams you will have! Please post pics.

None out, but three of the nine are pipped. I'll be checking on them all night!

I've probably hatched 100 batches and I STILL get up several times a night!! Watching the first one one is SO INCREDIBLE!! Once the first one is out, it SCREAMS for the rest of em!!! I didn't have a single pip when I left for work, and 7 in the bator when I got home. One was still a bit wet.

I agree, every hatch is as wonderful as the very first hatch. 100! That's impressive.

Of course, I'm up in the middle of the night checking eggs.

I'm a bit worried about the very first pipper, as it's been 9 hours and there's been no movement or sound since then from that splash Orpington. The Jubilee Orpington is still working and shouting, and s/he's got the little Easter Egger workoing and shouting, too. The Marans hasn't done anything since that first small pip.

I'm leaving them all alone for now.

Candled my eggs tonight. I think this one might be twins?

Most likely you are seeing head and butt, but anything is possible.

I still get up every couple of hours too! :D

C'mon chickies!! :fl

It worked!!!! I told my daughter what you said, and she asked, "Are you really going to do that?" Yes! I said, and headed for the incubator with a flashlight.

I started "chook-chooking" at the eggs, and right before my eyes, one of the Orpingtons pipped! And peeped!

I am so glad I didn't miss that. The attic can wait. You are the best!

That's so sweet! I read in a previous hatchalong where a mom told her daughter (youngster around 11 yrs old) to cluck and peep at the eggs and she did it for the duration of their incubation. When the chicks hatched they'd follow the girls around the house in a line behind her. Now that's cute.
