Switching the 4 eggs to "old reliable".

Haha!

This incubator was right in front of a shower hubby uses every day, he practically had to step over it to get to the shower, I have not switched my eggs to a diff incubator but 9 days into incubating this batch of eggs he said "Are you hatching more eggs?"

A friend ordered chickens and they gave her about 15 more than she needs, She says I can have some, maybe i should get all her extras... I do have some friends who want chickens later. At $1. ea. such a deal!

Four bantams hatching under my Cochin today, set on 2/13. They are pipping and zipping super fast! Checked at 10am with no external pips, came back at 1:30 to two dry chicks, hour and a half later the other two have externally pipped and are starting to rotate. :love

First time incubating so I'm going to wing it on the descriptions. Input from those wiser and more experienced would be appreciated.
2,3,4,7 & 8 had visible movement. 8 looks like it wasn't fertile. 10 & 11 look like they started and quit. 1,5 & 6 Something going on but I have no clue what.

Hello!
I’m sitting @ day 16 with my first eggs from my own birds! (I hatched shipped eggs last year.) I set 29 eggs. Day 10 candling left me with one early quitter and two clears, so I’m down to 26. They look great so far and I can’t wait for hatch day! Should be due March 10. I’m hatching Black Copper Marans, Olive Eggers (either Ameraucana or Easter Egger hens with BCM rooster) and two Orpington/Marans crosses.
Hoping for a good hatch! Humidity is sitting @ 41%.
