I had a goose egg hatch 2 days ago 1 egg pipped developed an infection and died. And 1 more egg left in the incubator

No. It’s day 35 today

11 out of 15 is great, i think dry incubation is the way to go.

I think so. At least with my own eggs. Never had those good of numbers in the past. Unless it was the hen doing the work.

Lockdown, day 18! 21 eggs made it this far, 9 Black Copper Marans, 4 Orpington-Marans cross, and 8 Olive Eggers.
Last hatch I got 19/22, hoping for all 21 this time! Also started internal pips the morning of day 19, the OE’s came out that night and Marans all hatched day 20. If the same holds true this time we’ll need to maybe bump the incubator temp down slightly. Sits @ 99.8 typically.

29 out of 42 hatched 2 died in shell and 11 infertile, very happy with hatch, i will start gathering eggs again once the 11 inches of snow we got here yesterday in Rhode Island finally melts.

We have eggs rocking and babies cheeping! I’m guessing in at least one or two hatchlings by the end of the day today. (Day 19, Olive Eggers) and some Marans by tomorrow!

Watching the incubator is the worst. Knowing there are babies just on the other side of those shells...and they are singing away...
Torture. I keep my setup in the basement and keep finding reasons to go down and peek through the window. Last hatch at this time we had external pips! These guys are sluggards!
