MARCH 2021 HATCH-A-LONG 🌷🌸🌼

Just tossed 16 clears, possibly non fertile, but most likely non developed due to detached air cells. These eggs could not have been packed better. Only 2 days on the way. Always the risk with shipped eggs.
Have 8 left, 5 of which look great, the other 3 are doing something, but may end up being blood rings. I will have to keep any chicks that hatch out of these, will not be worth it to sell them! :hmm

I had put some eggs in my incubator for a March hatch, but ran out of fertility. (Since I put down my roosters.) These 2 just hatched and are probably the last of their babies...+one more egg developing. I may not have a March hatch.

Been a couple of months since I have been on - took a couple months off of hatching and now hoping to be back into it in March. I have orders in for Bresse, Welsummer, and Isbar Eggs and re-contacting the person I was to get Tolbunt Polish from last fall (her chickens went to molt when I was to get my eggs) as well as trying to find Pita Pinta eggs. Hatching the last of the breeds I want while I work on breeding pens to hatch chicks to sell (hoping to have full breed chicks for sale by mid April). I also need to build another building (as a split coop) and build corresponding runs to split my flock up into different (smaller) groups.

I'm down to 9/16 on day 10. I'm holding on to 3 hoping to see something at day 14, but I'm pretty sure they're done. I'm going to throw a few eggs in there that were given to me as eating eggs. They've been in the fridge over a week so I'm not getting my hopes up but you never know.
