Just stuffed an over-load of eggs into the incubator. I'm having trouble getting the thing to reset, but I'll hit manual turn a couple times before bedtime and worry about it in the morning. I'm tired after work and not mentally up to dealing with it.

My eggs have been in for 4 days now and I candled some this morning. Looks like most were fertile and in one I could even see the heartbeat!

Damn…I’m seeing quite a few early blood rings in my shipped eggs, one for sure is already out. This might be because of the power outage the other night. Honestly, I’ll be really lucky if I hatch 5/20. I’m kind of disappointed with the seller for sending a few tiny eggs, as well as a couple obvious double yolkers. She knew what she was packing, because she shows birds…? I get it, people need money, but come on. If I picked them up in person and opened the carton, I wouldn’t pay for this but since they were ordered, they can pack anything and they already have their money.

Not me at 3 am, candling and being bitter, nooo… also not me with 17 chicks and two brooders set up already…

I wanted to get them going because I need to have them ready to cycle out of the brooder by Easter, but I'll take them out, weigh them, mark them, and count how many of what breeds I have tomorrow morning.

And maybe figure out how to convince the NR 360 to actually accept the reset to start counting down and turning again.

where did you order them from?

last year I got eggs from ebay. I knew shipped eggs were a gamble. They came and a couple were smashed, figured ok it happens. they were wrapped well so the others were still clean at least. I set them in my incubator and one of my girls was broody so gave her a couple of those and a couple of mine. None of mine developed (well 1 did but quit around day 10. ) and 3 shipped ones developed. 1 was a DIS on hatch day and 1 under my broody hatched and 1 in the incubator...... not too bad wish it was better...... The problem was I ordered BBS Cochins...... I got one "partridge looking chick" with clean legs and a yellow chick with clean legs........ Ummmmmmmm NOT Cochins so NOT what I ordered. I contacted the seller and basically got told that "he closed his ebay acct down so couldn't do anything for me". I messaged him again as he had stuff still listed and told him I would like a refund. We went back and forth a bit and then he "escalated it to ebay" (after I said I was going to). They found in my favor and told me to send the "item" back. I told them to tell me HOW to ship chicks that were now a couple weeks old since I had ordered hatching eggs.... LOL They ended up refunding me...........

my point of the whole story is if it was on ebay then try to get a refund or partial refund from her, even if listing says no refunds........ If it doesn't work then try going through ebay. I get that shipping eggs is a gamble but you at least expect eggs that have a chance of hatching and also the type you ordered.

Sorry things aren't going well.

I am so jealous of the Easter HAL people!!!!!! Making me regret having to hatch on the 18th and wishing I went with setting last weekend like I was going to........ Oh well can't change it now unless they come in Thurs then I could set on Fri but then still looking at hatching on Fri and pray they all hatch in time then getting it cleaned and new ones set by Sat. LOL

I have a NR360 and my manual says press and hold the "menu" and "-" button together for 5 seconds. Mine beeps very loudly when reset. I'm not sure why they made the beep so loud on these things! Hope it works for you.
