Out of all the swap eggs I received (36) only 5 hatched and all but 1 have died, out of mine in the same incubator (18) 15 hatched and 1 died trying to hatch. Not a good hatch this time. Forgot to post this earlier. PO must have been hard on all three boxes I received, which is a first. I have been having good sucess with shipped eggs lately. There goes the streak
Wish someone would send me turkey eggs, I can send them Mille Fluer D'Uccles or Easter eggers in return.
I keep hoping...... LOL. Thank you for this wonderful site!!

Yes, just this weekend! I have some little black banties, a yellow one, and one that looks like a partridge. Not sure what they are, but they're really cute.
Thanks, Donnie!

We had a power outage at the tail end of hatching and I got none.
I am so upset. I have the worst luck with incubating eggs. I just want to cry. Ugh.
Oh, that stinks! I'm so sorry you didn't get any babies! On an up note if we get each other as partners in the swap again sometime I just got some pretty nice new Silkie girls from a show this weekend, and also added a new blue silkie roo to the bantam flock - my big girls are back under a couple of brahma roos. I had a couple of outages also on my very first incubation - I think eventually it happens to everyone. Just stinks more when it happens with shipped eggs....

I have a friend who just gave me 9 turkey eggs for free (along with a bunch of mixed-breed brown chicken eggs) - I'm borrowing one of his incubators to fit them all in, and I'll have to return it when they hatch, so if he has any more eggs then I'll have to talk him into giving me some more and pack them up for you! His turkeys are gorgeous - the girls are all colors I'd never seen before, they're shades of lemony-blond, red, and barred-red.
