***March Egg Swap*** APRIL SIGN UPS OPEN!~!~!~!~!

Bookspryte,
My Easter Eggers are hatching, the olive egg hatched, a nice little fuzzy dark chick. Now another mint green is pipping, I was about to think I was only going to get one to hatch. No signs of pipping out of the other 4 but will keep you posted.

I can't wait to see pictures. I have two chicks that hatched from the green eggs and one has a very strange look to its feathers. I'll have to post a picture and see if any of yours look like it.

I had 3 Japanese bantams, 2 silkies, and 1 BCM hatch.

They are totally adorable.

I hope chickeemama has as much fun when those Dels hatch!

My incubator had a major malfunction during this hatch, and I was certain nothing would hatch. When I candled 10 of the 11 eggs I received from JewellFarm were growing well. But, so far, only two chicks have hatched - a black orpington and a black copper maran. Most of the other eggs quit sometime between the first candling and the candling before lockdown.

This is day 25, so when I get home, I'll assume this hatch is done. (The last one hatched at about 1 a.m. today)

The little black orp and I have bonded through the incubator window. Especially since I had to peel him/her out of the egg. He/she was shrink-wrapped despite a humidity of 75 percent the fact the incubator was not opened.

I'm looking forward to the May swap. I'm going to spend April beating my incubator into submission.

Hope everyone else has a good hatch.

Chickeemama, how did those EE do for you?

Bookspryte,
I just got one chick, the olive egg...little black chick with a little light v on its neck, I will try to post pics soon.

Zephyrcreek,
I was cleaning out some boxes the other day, found egg number 10 of the delawares still all wrapped up in bubblewrap. I though what the heck and set it in the bator....I candled tonite and the silly little thing is doing great after sitting in the shipping box for over a week after it got to me! I am amazed and tickled.

????? to all. I am noticing on some of my shipped eggs when I candled tonite that some of the air cells seem to be twice as big as they should be and mis-shapen, but I still see movement and all seems to be well. What causes this??? Any harm to the fuzzybutts???? Any ideas, anyone else experiencing this?

Shellie
