OK I may have a problem. I was out late tonight ( gone about 6 hours) and when I got home my temps were at 93° I adjusted as soon as I got home and checked on them but is it likely to hurt the babies.... I'm on day 7.

Quote: I am pretty experienced, I've been incubator for a good while. I know what I'm looking at and I don't candle everyday. I was supposed to candle yesterday anyway (day 10), but didn't because I didn't want to open the incubator while it was off. At this point, if they're alive still, they'll be bouncing around in their eggs. I think they'll be fine. The temp dipped down into the 80s, which isn't too bad, but isn't great either. When I noticed the power was out, I covered the bator with a blanket and cranked up the wood stove, which managed to keep everything pretty warm. I plan to candle them tonight to see how they're doingIf they don't make it, do big deal. These are eggs from my own flock, I can go out to the coop, get more and start all over again.![]()
