I rushed home today after work expecting to find new pips and chicks but was DEVISTATED to find the incubator was at 106!!!!!!!!!! For all I know it was like that for hours. One of the eggs was moving this morning but there are currently no sounds or pips.
Incubator is now adjusted and holding at 100/102 and 60ish humidity
ANY advice on additional course of action?
I don't think theres much you can do at this point, other than wait them out and see if they hatchDay 21 was yesterday. I candled the eggs last night. One internal pip found. No signs of movement on any of them. I've read a bunch of the resources on hatching (hatching 101, hatching assistance, common issues). But I dont know what the course of action is to take if on hatch day the temp spikes to 106 on a still air for an extended period of time.![]()
Anyone? Please help, would really appreaciate any input.
Yep thats pretty much the plan... I was just wondering for this situation when I should do a float test (now, before I "trash" eggs, etc).I don't think theres much you can do at this point, other than wait them out and see if they hatch![]()
