HELLO

My Buff Orpington shipped eggs arrived yesterday! let them settle for twenty four hours and put them in this morning at 10.am. Done this all before but ya cannot get rid of the eggcitment!! Its gunna be a long twenty one days

but its all worth it so see the little balls of fluff at the end

We are hatching: 12 Pumpkin Hulsey
6 mystery eggs from the Feb BYC swap
36 FBCM
5 bantam blue Cochin
9 Speckled Sussex
5 LF Brahma
8 Australops

For a total of 81 eggs

The eggs went in the 2 bators on February 20 at noon

We are expecting hatch on March 12

gryeyes - I was originally supposed to hatch 1 bator full. But, a friends Genesis died and he brought 3 dozen of his girls eggs over and said "Gee, if you hatch my FBCM eggs I will split whatever chicks you get." Uhh YEAH! Duh! So, I went out collected some of my girls eggs that day and filled up the other one. More the merrier right?!

I can try and take a pic next time I add water probably in two days. I just placed them in as tightly as I could on the first layer, then placed a lot of the smaller eggs on top as a second layer, with rolled up paper towels kind of framing them so they won't roll when it turns.
