Yes, it is possible to see movement day 19...........I went into lockdown last night (day 18) and woke up to a hatched chickie this morning with 3 more pips and another overachiever hatchmate this afternoon

Well, have a final count of five new fuzzy butts! the other five, three made it to just before hatch then died, one did not develop at all (it was too dark to see through, so i did not toss it out when I tossed the others since it did not smell) and one made it all the way, but never even pipped internally. So out of the ten that were remaining, I got 50%. Not to bad.

Hopefully the next batch I set on Sunday will do as good or better developing

So... I am still in the March hatch along!! Due March 27

Well my first two are out, with another big pip going and more peeping in the shells. Number one was in a rush and popped out well ahead of the others. He was lonely so he broke out number two whether she was ready or not. Number two is looking pretty weak, I hope she makes it, there was quite a bit of blood pooled inside the shell, like maybe she had pipped a vein. That happened a few minutes ago. So number one is now all alone in the brooder, and is screaming his head off about it! This is a batch of Ameraucana chicks, so I am pleased to see chipmunk cheeks on number one. I am off to bed and I hope to find more fluffy butts in the morning.

this one is sooo loud we could hear it all through the house, even while it was in the incubator.

I did not have much hopes for that still air incubator I have and I am not sure exactly what temp is in there (I have 4 thermometers showing different temperature, although not all at the same level), but I could not wait till the end of the first week, so I just candled 6 eggs while turning - I saw veins/movement in 5 out of 6 I looked at!!

Still turning those 41 eggs everyday, a bit over 2 weeks more to wait.

Congrats to all with new babies!! Thank you for sharing pictures - babies are so cute!!

I feel like I cannot wait another 7 days I am going to explode. I even tried to go to TSC to get a chick fix and dang it they sold out the very day they got them in.

5 days till lock down I feel this hatch is going to be really good, and so I am extremely excited I am nailing my hands to the seat and not touching the incubator.
I candled at day 7 all were moving and I haven't touched them since. I can't wait to see those fluffy butts ...

Congrats to everyone who has hatched so far !!!! Keep us posted with pictures so I can get my chickie fix
