March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

I am waiting on my sultans, still just a pip, due on Thursday. Last time I candled the other day, most of them were squirming and they still are rock n rollin' !

guess i got an early one! so far nothing else from the other eggs but of course now that one has done something its gonna be very hard not to continually look to see if more are doing something.

I just ran into the bedroom and found a ....CHICK, one of my sultans pipped this morning, and it is out and dry already.

The rest are still rock n rollin and they ain't due till Thursday either.

My first March hatch started 3 days ago, early! 8 hatched and are out already, and there are two more chicks in the 'bator today. I came home on my lunch hour because a partially zipped egg stalled last night... and sure enough, the chick needed some help. It's got that icky stuff all over so it won't fluff out right away like all the others. I am sitting here listening to the two of them peep.

There are more eggs to hatch, too, but I didn't see any pips. If there aren't any pips in a while, I will take those two out and put them with the others in the dresser drawer brooder using the new Brinsea EcoGlow. That is one, sweet bit of equipment!

I agree! I just set 23 of my porcelain d'uccle eggs in the incubator tonight 3/1 , wouldn't that make it Mardi Gras (Fat tuesday) when they hatch? I'm a bit worried as wet and muddy as it's been. There's 5 eggs I would normally reject, but put in anyway just to test my theory. Good luck all!

Is there an April thread going? I'm supposed to be getting eggs via USPS early next week so I guess that would put me at hatching the end of March/beginning of April. I wanna join in the fun

Came home to 3 chicks pipping and zipping. OMG this is so much fun. They are 2 days late and I thought I had killed them all. It pays to wait it out but, this is our first time and thought I had done it all wrong So,so,so, happy out here on the farm we are! Cant wait to see what they look like." ON WITH THE SHOW'
