March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

I have a broody on eggs(Precious). They are due Sunday /Monday. Wow it seems like forever. I hope we get some chicks. Precious was so mean I couldn't candle the eggs without getting bitten. These will be my first broody chicks. I have two incubator chicks that were born in November( not a great plan). They are cute.

do you have others pipped if you do i would leave it alone so you dont risk the rest of the hatch but if not you could try and help it but move slow with removing any of the shell. only remove small bits at a time with breaks inbetween where you place the egg back in the incubator. dont remove the whole shell and remove where the chick would have zipped stop if you see any blood and i place a hot wet papertowel in to bump the humidity when i take an egg out to help. some have reported good results with getting a bath room really warm and humid and moving the whole thing into the bathroom when assisting a hatch. not sure if this will help you or not but good luck!

Every time I see your Avatar it makes me laugh

Good one!

GOT BABIES!!! out of my 17 English line BBS Orpington eggs that were on lockdown when the power went out, I have 13 babies. Only lost 4 and I dont think that is really too bad. I was surprised but pleasantly so. Of course I would have rather had all of them, but I am very happy with the ones I have.....pics below

Well, four out so far and one other one zipping. The egg with the pip that had a little blood finally hatched after almost 36 hours !

I had started to lose hope for that one! The first three are all fluffed up now. I will try to get pics if I can find some batteries for my camera!!
