March Hatch A Long... anyone with me??

for sunday/ monday

This is worse than giving birth.....I have one Buckeye chick out, a Buckeye and a NH just minutes away from being completely out, another Buckeye egg pipping and 3 more NH eggs pipping......that leaves 8 NH eggs, 2 cochin eggs, 3 duck eggs and 10 more Buckeyes to pip. I don't know if I can sleep tonight. I want to help I want to help I want to help! Gotta keep my hands out of the bator. Geez I thought I had more self-control but I so much want to help......I know I shouldn't. They need to do it themselves. Humidity is 75 percent and temp is holding steady at 99.7 now if I can just leave the bator alone....This actually is good since tomorrow is day 21! Now I need to convince myself to be calm and controlled. The little Buckeye is so cute and so red - he is just running around in the bator begging someone else to come out to play!

I don't know if I should've signed on for the Easter hatch now..... It takes a lot outta ya' to incubate..... (Goes and looks in the brooder....) But worth it....

Yeah these little guys are worth it! I have 19 out in the brooder coop that run to me and sit on my lap every time I go out there! When I got up this morning I now have 5 hatched babies and a bunch of pips! There is so much carnage in the bator I will have to wait until tonight to sort everything out! By then I should have a bunch more babies! I think I have two Buckeyes out and three NHs. These babies are rolling the other eggs around so much I hope they don't murder their not yet hatched flock mates!

oh no... hope it was early in your hatching... I had the same prob, spkie to 110...so, i don't think anything is going to come of these eggs, but i've got them in lock down b/c they're Maran eggs and I can't see in them... so, you never know...
good hatching vibes to ya...

The bad and the good update: The Bad-All of my 15 bardie eggs did not make it. I had one kinnd of hatch but lost it. I pulled the rest of the eggs Monday and tossed them. More then likely the humidity was to high and they drowned. I'm debating if I should try my luck again with my high tech-ish 'bator, but I have 25 babies comming in the 1st of April from Privett and then another 20 babies comming from Ideal on the 7th or 8th. Ideal is shipping them the 6th. So that is 45 babies in a week! Yikes!
The Good:
My DH is also getting 25 Bardies and Production Reds on the 28th of March to start for a Welcome to the Wonderful World Of Baclyard Chicken Ownership seminar we are giving for a customer of his. So this is 75 chicken in three weeks! Although with luck, I won't be bringing chicks home from the seminar!

The really good? I hope! Im in lockdown with the three Asel eggs in the LG Bator! Hopefuly they will hatch! I've not been as diligent with this group of eggs as I was with the Bardies, so hopefully that saved them! I turned the eggs about one maybe twice a day when I remembered and the humity was a lot lower with this batch. Mainly because I kept forgetting to check the water levels. If these poor things even hatch I will be amazed! So keeping my fingers crossed I will have fuzz butts on the 19th!
