Well - the new and improved "cooler-bator" is working almost too well... very stable so there is nothing to tinker with and it's driving me nuts! I think I may set another batch in my old cooler just to give me something to do while I wait! I guess I could show off my improvised water wiggle egg thermometer...

I couldn't resist... set another 10 in my first little cooler incubator...

should you lock down on day 18 or 19 i have heard both but in mot sure hoping the gurus can help a first timer out

Thank you for the welcome! My OE hens just started laying a few weeks back. They've been under two young bcm roos so I don't know what to expect from them... fingers crossed!

Did a quick candle tonight, 43 eggs for sure have veining, the other 30 are either too hard to see into or look clear still, but it's early....good luck to all of you starting lockdown!

Set 2 is on day 3. I'm DYING to candle to look for fertility. I may just be the most impatient person I know. Lol Come on day 5!!!

I just set another batch of eggs in the incubator. I have the first March batch in the hatcher waiting anxiously to see what happens tomorrow. I don't know if they will start hatching tomorrow or Tuesday...probably in the night in between, lol.
